The Cham Pale Collection from MAC is the first one in a while that has caught my eye. I've been focusing on exploring other brands, so I'd been passing on MAC in favor of other stuff. I'd been looking for a couple new bases and once I saw the polishes, being the polish-hoor I am, decided I couldn't pass on those. I ended up purchasing Dangerous Cuvee and Vintage Selection Paint Pots, and Soiree and Very Important Platinum (which is just about the least creative name ever) Polishes.

Neutral Smokey Eyes
I did this look for an evening out to celebrate my bestie, Meggie-poo's birthday. I always seem to do just straight smokey eyes, so I thought I'd mix it up a bit and do something a little softer. I paired the eyes with a more rosy pink lip, rather than the standard nude that I always seem to do with smokey eyes. I quite like how this turned out. I'll probably do a tutorial when I get the chance because it is such an easy look to do, and much more wearable for those who just aren't used to wearing a lot of makeup.

Brigitte Bardot-inspired Winged Liner
Her iconic winged liner has survived the test of time, spanning a few generations. Winged liner is just awesome in my book. It's a look all it's own, and it's a look that has endured over the decades as the sex-kitten look.

EOTD Light Golden Bronze
I don't always spackle put on a full face to run errands. But some days I just feel like prettifying myself, even if I'm just getting a few groceries. Besides, isn't always the day when you're wearing your holey sweats and looking like you were hit by a cement truck that you run into everyone and their mother? Some sort of twisted karma. Ergo, the opposite should be true...looking cute is a key part of avoidance techniques.
Simple rules the day in my book, and this look can be done in less than fifteen minutes - despite the endless list of products.

EOTD Simple Smokey
With my pale eyes, I love a good smokey eye. I love the contrast between the light iris and the dark shadow. Not that smokey eyes don't also look fantastic on dark-eyed beauties, but I think we can all agree that there's something alluring about those pale eyes surrounded by smoldering shadow. Plus nude-y lips look killer with smokey eyes, so I always pair 'em together.
This look I did for a dinner out with friends this past weekend. Smokey eyes for a night out are just the bee's knees. Makes any outfit sexier.

MAC To The Beach - Haul and Swatches
MAC's latest limited edition collection, To The Beach, which is the summer collection, was officially released at counters and in stores today. I raced my butt out to the lone counter in my city to ensure I'd snag what I wanted. Luckily everything I wanted was still there, except Marine Life Highlight Powder, which I was fortunate enough to get online before it sold out.
I picked up: Firecracker and Sand & Sun Eye Shadows, Easy Lounger and Flurry of Fun Lipglasses, Lazy Day Lipstick, and Life's A Breeze Lip Pencil. Marine Life is not pictured since it is still en route.

swatchcat C was quite interested to see what I brought him!

Simple Summer EOTD
Well per the usual, here in the Great Plains, we've had exactly two weeks of spring before being launched into summer. Since summers here are notoriously hot and humid, I prefer to keep things simple...less to melt off, ya know?! On to the look:

EOTD Smoke Signal
Yesterday I finally had a chance to use my MAC Smoke Signal pigment, recently found for me by a lovely friend. I happen to love MAC pigments, and was thrilled to acquire this one, which I had previously missed. For those of you who do not have this pigment, it is a gorgeous matte eggplant, and being a purple-fiend, totally up my alley.
I didn't want to do an über-smokey look, so I paired Smoke Signal with a taupe eyeshadow and nude lips.
